Just Realised i Could Now Start one of these Journels lol!
My bad. I completely forgot.

Anyway..I shall start from Birth.

Well, i gave birth on the 31st October 2011, too a beautiful baby'girl.
We named her Lacey-Beth
My due date was the 23rd October 2011, so she decided too arrive 08'Days Late.

Time of Labour?
Well, i first started contracting on Saturday 29th October,
at around 6pm.
So from my first contraction, ill go by 6pm as closest time,
labour time was 33Hours'32Mins
Time of Labour From My Waters Broke?
Well My Waters Broke at 5am, on Sunday 30th October.
So time of labour from waters breaking was 23Hours'32Mins
And time i was in the actual giving birth/pushing stage.
I started too push, at 2.30am on Monday 31st October.
And Lacey-Beth arrived into the world, at 3.32am.
So i was in pushing/delivery for 1'Hour' 32 Mins.

So it was quite a long, slow and painful labour.
Lacey-Beth was back too back, WORST LABOUR EVER!
Lmao. the pain was awful, tho if im honest, after i met her, i completely
forgot about the pain, and i KNOW i would do it a million times over.
Just meeting your little baby after all the pain, is actually amazing!
Such an amazing experience aswell!

But i dont think i done too badly, i managed too
last until i was 5cm dilated with No pain relief at all.
Even tho i was in unbearable pain, due too her being back to back.
And nope.. a bath nor lying down helped too ease the pain.
Then at 5cm, i took the gas&air .. Started too feel very spaced out,
and drunk lmao.. Tho, gas&air wasnt really doing anything too help the pain,
only making me feel completely drunk lol.
They offered me pethadine, i refused it.
Managed too stick with the gas&air, until i was
7cm dilated.. Then they offered me an epidural.
They said the epidural would help numb the pain because it was back to back.
So i decided that yeah, ill take the gas and air.
The pain was that bad...So i got moved delievery suites, got the epidural, then they
put me on a cathador and a drip.

After giving birth then, i was moved too the labour wards,
with all the other mummies.
A few hours later, the drip and cathador was removed.
I went for a shower, while my baby girl was taken off for a bath.
Then visiting started..I had too pee in a cardboard jug type thing,
3times beause of the epidural and cathador, before they would discharge
me and let me go home.

So anyway, i got too go hom at 8.30pm that night.

So thats my first post in my Parenting Journel.

Well Lacey-Beth is now
3weeks and 3days old.
Hard too believe she will be 4weeks old on Monday.
Wow, shes almost one month old.
Cant believe ive had my perfect baby girl for a whole month soon!

The HV called out this morning, and weighed the little lady.
She was 8lbs'6oz at birth,
At 2weeks old, she was 9lbs'4oz
And now at 3weeks Old shes 9lbs'14oz.
The HV reckons by tomorrow, she should be up too 10lbs exactly.
Woohoo.
So shes doing ubber well, and im ubber proud of her.
Shes thriving so well, HV said she seems to be happy and healthy

And i even got complimented on my mothering skills. Apparently i am a natural haha.
And my little woman is the spit&image of me.

Well at least her compliment was one way of making up for her not turning up
for the visit on Monday lol.
And on an even brighter note, the doctor gave her medicine too help
her constipation..Tho seems too be helping make her wind come up aswell.
Shes been burping loads today lol.
But we shall see how she is later on, as last night the crying fits started
between 11-11.30pm.
So HOPEFULLY, and its a huge fingers crossed HOPEFULLY,
the lactoluse kicks in, and she is completely back too her normal
self for bedtime.

Tho, apart from that, she is still as good as gold,
i really have no complaints of motherhood, i dont think i could ever complain.
3weeks on and im loving every minute, no actually every second,
of it.

Shes been a little spoilt girlie, the amount of clothes and shoes
is unreal, her wardrop collection is actually bigger than mine lol.
So the sooner we get into our own house, the better.
So i can get her wardrop set, and filled lol.
Shes got two wardrops, one by Mamas&Papas,
the other by Disney ..So letting one stay at my mum&dads, if i
can fit everything into the mamas&papas one.

Shes had her little heel prick and everything.
Got discharged from the midwifes, all being well with their records aswell.
And the HV wont be back out until the little lady is between 6-8 weeks.
Tho said she would call when she is 8weeks, due too
week 6 being christmas week lol.

Sorted out the little womans christmas presents from "Santa"
aswell lol..Cant believe me and david are santa this year lol.
But had her sorted before she was even born.
Im excited lol.

So, the little darling, is getting on great, and hopefully
we get this silly colic and constipation under control,
so shes getting a good bit of relief away from the pain.

Lacey-Beth is 3weeks&4Days Old!

Little lady took another screaming fit last night, at 11.30pm, and didnt stop and settle until 3.30am, constant screaming, and could just tell she was in agony. Feel so helpless and hopeless tbh..Then i get myself all worked up and i start too cry, and obviously apparently babies can sence when their mummy is upset, so that probably didnt help matters at all!
Stupid Bloody Colic.

She finally settled at 3.30am tho, in her pram not in the cradle.
Which isnt gonna help in getting her used too the cradle again either lol.. Tho atm, im going by whatever she feels comfortable in, as long as shes gonna get a few hours sleep during the night despite these pains...So she got 3hours sleep, was up again at 6.30am..My mum then took her for a bit, and i slept on until 7am , yeah 30mins haha.!

Got her some Colief Drops today for the Colic...So she has had three bottles so far with the drops in it..And i am really really PRAYING literally that
these drops work...The first set of drops i gave her in her bottle, was
a 5oz bottle, and she drank the whole 5oz in an hour.

She had her first feed at:

6.30am - 4oz bottle (no drops)
Then she slept after she drank that, right through too 11.45am.
11.45am - 3 1/2 oz bottle. (no drops)
1pm - 5oz Bottle (4drops Colief)
3.30pm - 4 1/2 oz bottle (4drops Colief)
took her over a 21/2- 3 hours period too finish this tho.
She kept stopping for winding and napping throughout this bottle. properly finished
it at 5.45pm.
8.20pm - 1 1/2 oz she has drank so far. Made a 5oz bottle.
So far shes taking a break from feeding, and shes playing atm..Tho will be wanting more of the bottle soon.. (4Drops Colief in this bottle)

Ive also been giving her Infacol before every feed aswell.
Plus at 6.30am she had a 1ml drop off Lactoluse, then had another 1ml at 5.30pm.
Doctor perscribed it, shes supposed too take 2ml twice a day, but i decided too try her on 1ml twice a day first off all, as its a fairly good laxitive.

So, im trying the best i can too get my little princess back too her normal self, and get her back into her normal routine...PleasePleasePlease, Colief..Be a miricle for me. =)

Got the little lady her Christmas Day Outfit, today..Too Adorable.
Will have too get a picture uploaded, tho might wait until Christmas and get her wearing it lol.
Also bought her a gorgeous soft pink, personalized blanket..Its lovely, and so so soft and cuddley.

Had her rocking back and forth in her carseat today aswell, and she seems to LOVE the carseat :O . LOL.
And looks so comfortable and cozy in it.. So will have too let her have a rock in it more often lol..Decided too put her in it, too wedge her up while she napped
earlier, as heard thats good for Colic aswell lol.

Oh dear, I hope she feels better soon. Nothing worse than seeing your baby in pain. And I hope you're okay. I know what the stress of an unhappy baby is like. We had some problems with Keira in her first 3 or 4 weeks. Fingers crossed these drops work for her. x x x

Oh really isnt nice seeing them in pain. I remember before i even fell pregnant.
I would hear mums saying how when they see their babies in pain, they feel the pain
aswell, i used too think they were imagining it, or living on cloud 9 lol, but seriously,
its not until you experience motherhood, that you actually know what type of pain
they meant all along. So heartbreaking.

Today Lacey-Beth Is:
3weeks&5days old!

Had a very sucessful night last night. My little lady didnt appear too be in any pain with colic after giving her the colief drops. She went down for a sleep in her cradle at 9.30pm, then woke up at 11.30pm for a bottle, after she finished a 4oz bottle' i changed her nappy, sang "rock a bye baby" too her and she drifted back too sleep at 12.30am. And that was her until 3.30am, when she woke and took another 4oz bottle, finished it at 4.30am' then decided to be a rascal and play until 5am before drifting back too sleep..Then she woke up again at 6am, took a 1oz feed, then slept until 8.30am.
But in between all them feeds, there was no screaming or crying fits, only a few cries when she was letting us know she wanted her bottle. So so chuffed and over the moon with her. And glad the colief drops helped her.

Today she has had after 6am feed:

9am - 2drops of Infacol' 5oz bottle' with added 4drops of colief. and 1ml Lactoluse
12pm - 2drops of Infacol' 3oz bottle with added 4drops of colief
3.30pm - 2oz water
4.10pm - 2drops of Infacol' 4oz bottle with added 4drops of colief (she was sick after this feed) Only once tho.
6pm - 2drops of Infacol' 2oz bottle with 4drops colief
8.40pm - 2drops of Infacol' 5oz bottle with 4drops colief

She takes roughly 1hour-1 1/2hours too finish a full feed so bottle feeds are spread out throughout the day. She fell asleep at 9.30pm, put her in her cradle and she woke just shortly after 10pm wanting more of her bottle, took 1oz then fell asleep in davids arms at 11pm. Shes now been in her cradle since then still fast asleep. The colic usually kicked in at 11pm, and lasted 4hours. So fingers crossed the colief has worked wonders tonight again. Im hoping really am. Even tho she was wakening through last night for feeds, i didnt care because at least she was sleeping proper and feeding proper again.

Took her too my aunties earlier a walk and had planned too bath her when we got home, tho she had fallen asleep bless her, and didnt want too disturb her.. So lay her on the changing mat, took off her wet nappy, put on sudacrem, and put a fresh nappy on, then just rubbed her wee belly, chest and arms down with Johnstons night-time cream, and then put the Johnstons night-time talc powder on...The night-time one was a godsend at nights before putting her too bed, used to give her and me a brillient night sleep before the colic kicked in and knocked her off routine...Then rubbed her wee feet and hands with E45.
Gonna give her a bath in the morning, get her dressed then tomorrow afternoon, me and her daddy are gonna take her too meet santa for the first time. Hoping shes awake for it, as would love too get a lovely picture of her on his knee lol.

Put the christmas decorations up tonight and she is facinated by all the lights and colours..Completely stars at everything, so shes reconizing things really well.

Today Lacey-Beth is Exacty:

4Weeks Old!

Honestly cant believe that at this time 4weeks ago, i had already met my little girl, recovering from giving birth, tho at my own home, not long after being discharged from hospital. Seriously 4weeks has flew in, went by so quickly, and its still only sinking in that im actualy a mummy, that ive gave birth, and that my pregnancy is over..Where did the time go, my pregnancy seemed too be over so quickly, it flew in lol.

Well, we seem too have the colic under control, and shes doing well on the Colief Drops, tho im also using Infacol before every feed...So maybe thats playing a part aswell now..Im just glad that i found something too help her.. Shes got a wee stuffy nose at the minute, and after talking too pharmasist about what i should do about that, thinking she was gonna talk me into buying some shizz, she actually never.
She asked me if i had a "sucker" ..Told her i did, well actually my mum told her i did lmao..I was like, "

what the hell is a sucker?" LOL!
Anyway, found out what it was, so thankfully had one lmao...Pharmasist pretty much said, that i can use that too unblock her nose (=

Shes being very spoilt atm tho..I told my mum until i was blue in the face, not too give in too her, by picking her up and rocking her over too sleep because then that will get her into a bad habit, did she listen? No she did not! ...Clearly shes the granny, that wants too spoil her little grand-daughter with lots of cuddles..So now whats happened? Me and David are left too try and break the habit out off her, and its making me feel like the big bad wolf lol..

She wont settle at all unless its when shes in your arms..And you've too make sure shes in a right deep sleep when you go too put her down in her cradle, otherwise she wakes up and starts too winge and cry until she gets lifted..Atm shes in Davids arms, bless.. And then i feel like helpless, because she likes too be walked around when shes in your arms, unless shes feeding.. And i cant walk around with her for longer than 10mins..otherwise my back starts too get sore because of the back to back labour and epidural.. AGONY

Im okay any other time, but shes getting a little heavy princess, and then my back just goes..Honestly if i knew id have this trouble after i probably wouldnt have got the epi ..but then again i dont know for sure it was that..Might have been because of back to back..But bless her..Im so proud of my little darling, and so chuffed shes feeding so well and thriving well. Couldnt be happier, healthy bubba girl.

So yesterday, i cant really remember feeding times..But today, well my mum took her last night for me' too let me catch up on sleep as zombie eyes were a bad look, and i looked seriously ill yesterday..As im down with the cold arghh! .. Anyway from this morning when i took her back at 8am ill start from todays feed times:

8.30am - 2Drops Infacol, 5oz Bottle' 4Drops of Colief Drops.
12.30pm - 2Drops Infacol, 41/2oz Botte' 4Drops Colief
4.10pm - 2Drops Infacol, 2oz Bottle, 4 Drops Colief.
4.45pm - 2Drops Infacol, 2oz Bottle, 4 Drops Colief.
7pm - 2Drops Infacol' 31/2oz bottle' 4Colief.
8.30pm - 2oz Bottle'
9.30pm - 2Drops Infacol' 31/2oz bottle (tho shes still drinking it) 4Drops Colief.

So not doing too badly ..Feeding loads tho, which is probably why shes finding it hard too pass stools, and get the wind up..Tho finally after 2Days, she passed stools yesterday, and today has been getting a good bit of wind up, but still finding it quite hard, tho doesnt seem too be in pain obviously due too the drops.

She adores me singing "Rock A Bye Baby" too her, and shes got a wee musical bear that plays the tune too it, and its cheeks light up.. Got a video off her playing with it today..So so cute.. I also put down her changing mat, and lay a blanket on top off it, and placed most off her wee teddys around it, too try and get her used too her wee teddys' and too let her see the different colours, and also too try and keep her awake more during the day, also put her playmat down and let her watch the teddys swinging from it..At first she wasnt really interested, but once she started too notice them a bit more..she became sort of facinated.

But shes doing very well i must say, and im so proud off her..Cant actually believe..4weeks! Its shocking!

4Weeks&5DaysOld!

So, the colic is still under control..would definatly recommend Colief Drops, for any colicaky babies. They have deffo worked wonders for me and david lol.
Constipation still quite bad, so havnt really been monitoring her feeding, as because of the constipation, shes feeding just wee 1-2oz here and there throughout the day, then drifting into a nap, then up say 20mins later for another 1oz etc etc..

Last night she ended up pushing and pushing that hard, that her wee bum had started too bleed, could really tell she was in pain,i actually cried for her it was that bad..She didnt go too sleep then until 4am. So this morning she got 2ml Lactoluce in her, then shes had 1oz Prune Juice. So hopefully it'll kick in and give her some ease for the next time she passes stools. She went too town this morning with her granny&granda (my parents) , and my magic ways must have rubbed off on her lmao, got her granda wrapped around her little finger, he came home with a new coat and new outfit for her, off course both of them i had spied last week and told him i wanted for her lmao..So granda spoilt her too them today..Then took her too see her granny&granda mccullough (davids parents) , then not long ago, she went too see her great auntie sharon (my auntie) , so shes had quite an eventful day of it lol..Tho she has seemed very content today, and only crying when shes wanting a bottle..So im hoping, that shes eased up a good wee bit, little madam. Oh and shes became a right wee daddies girl too lmao.

When shes lying in Davids arms, she turns her head in towards his chest, rubs the back of her head up and down his arm where hes holding her, then tilts her head, in a downwards position, and snuggles right in too davids chest..Its so adorable, she done it the other night after she finished a bottle, and fell asleep, then done it tonight again, david is amazed by it, cant get over it bless him, so hes all chuffed, he calls is "daddy and poppets special thing" lmao! ..God love him!

So me and david are taking her into town tomorrow, gonna get her a few different outfits and a few more vests/babygrows in 3-6 months, as shes gonna need them, we only have a few wee outfits in 3-6m , so gonna need babygrows etc..and gonna get her another snuggie, so shes always got one spare...And then HOPEFULLY, let her see Santa tomorrow and get a wee picture, depending on what the que's are like, hopefully not too bad!
Will be going to get her measured and weighed the week before christmas too, as my HV isnt due back until shes 8weeks, so roughly after the new year.. So wanna get her weighed just before christmas and see how shes been doing

Cant believe my wee princess is 5weeks old already! Hard too believe, that i gave birth 5weeks ago too a gorgeous bubba girl lol.

Again havnt been monitoring her feeds very well, well obviously i am checking, but not what times etc..
Tho today mind, she hasnt been feeding very well.

She started showing signs of a cold coming on over the weekend, her wee nose was blocked most of the weekend.
So on Sunday, we went too boots and got her the Calpol Nazle Spray.. Used it on her when we got home, and it worked
instantly.
But then today..her nose has been so, so runny, can definatly tell shes got a cold..And shes been coughing quite badly, as she has a lot
of mucas on her chest, can hear it as plain as day..Shes also got a temperature of 102 degrees, vomiting and diareah, and a wee rash which starts on her forehead, travels down her right cheek, and spreads across her chest.
Earlier on, she started gasping for air really badly, showing signs that she couldnt breath, it scared the life outta me, she was gasping that hard..and she didnt get a proper breath until david popped her over his shoulder.
I rang the doctor, and he told me too bring her straight up.. He examined her over, checking her temperature, having a listen too her lungs and chest, examining and timing her breathing, and checked the rash over.
He said that her lungs are fine and her breathing seems normal, shes definatly got a cold, and these should all pass within a few days, just too keep an eye on her incase her breathing gets any worse, if it does take her back in, as it could be astma then.. The rash he said was a viral rash, caused in babies when they are generally feeling poorly, but it will start too go away as she starts too get better.
So im hoping shes all back too her normal self soon the wee dote.. Tho even tho shes poorly she still manages too give a wee smile

Such a little fighter.

She was laying on my mum and dads bed earlier, and my dad would give his light shade a push every now and then, and it would swing back and forward, it amuses her completely..Everytime it stops she starts going crazy, until my dad pushes it again too get it too swing haha..So i recorded a wee video off her doing it...
