How effective is the M.A.P after giving birth?

Subject: How effective is the M.A.P after giving birth? Sat Dec 03, 2011 3:45 pm

Me and David are finally dtd again, after i gave birth almost 5weeks ago...We have been using protection, as i know your extremly fertile after birth, anyway the first time we "properly" dtd the condom split...Disaster.

I havent had an AF yet, since giving birth, so i have no idea when too expect that.

Anyway, literally 3-4 hours after dtd and it split, i went straight too boots and bought the morning after pill, and i told the woman about giving birth etc etc..

How effective is the morning after pill after birth? ..The woman didnt seem too concerned or anything tho.

Last night i started too get slight twinges and slight cramping, and a little bit of CM,
its as if my body is warning me that AF is on her way, tho still no sign of her, and i have no idea when your supposed too expect an AF after giving birth

I probably sound really "duh" right now! ..Seriously should have looked into this more lol.

i have no idea how effective it is
but i didn't get my AF until daisie was 3 months
and often paniced about pregnancy scares
i imagine it can be just as afftective
but ive never had one before

Just wondering when too expect an AF lmao, tho i have heard it can take anywhere between 4-12 weeks before you even take AF after-birth

I would have though it'd be as effective hun, and the pharmacist should have told you if there was a chance it wouldn't be as effective.
Just remember, that with everything, it's not 100%.
A friend was on the pill, used a condom as it was the first time she slept with this man and had the MAP as condom split, and she still got pregnant.

so you'll just have to wait and see i guess hun!

The pharmisist never actually told me anything, about how effective it would be or anything, the only thing she asked me was how long it had been before i went too get it, and if i had ever had the morning after pill before and about when my last AF was, which was obviously months and months before lmao.

Although i came on, on Monday there thankfully, tho now im cursing the stupid witch lol.
I so need to get used too the cramps and stuff again lol.

We used condoms after having Max, one split so got the MAP, Im 13 weeks pregnant lol for me it failed!
