Well im breastfeeding + i was all pround Rio-Blake's been putting on weight but everyone keeps saying he's really tinny + conpared to other babys born at the same time as him that only were 6lbs at birth they have all over taking him and look masive. everyone comments on how tinny he is. Rio-Blake was 8lbs 14oz at birth at 9 weeks he was 11pound's
so he's only put on 4 pounds since being born :o dose it sound like hes putting it on slowly??
+ Iv been told he look's like hes got smaller since he was last wieght xx

I'm sure hes fine hun I think babies that are on breast sometimes put on weight more slowly because its not as bad as formula milk i.e it is full of all the stuff he needs. Every baby is different but if your worried speak to your hv xxx

All babies are different. I didn't breastfeed her, but Keira was only 11lb and half an oz at 9 weeks. She was 7lb 13.5oz at birth. She's still not very heavy. So Rio-Blake's weight sounds just fine to me. Ask your health visitor anyways if you're not sure.

his weight sounds fine hun, rikkis sister had her daughter the day after you had rio-blake, she weighed 8lb 3oz at birth and at 9 weeks was 10lb 4oz. id say hes doing good xx

Im sure hes fine hun.
Babies will all grow + thrive differently, and i reckon that hes a good wee weight.
Hes probably gonna be a tiny bubba hun, is anyone in either yours or garys families small hun?
As Rio-Blake could be taking after them..
Try not too worry yourself hun as im sure everything is perfectly fine.
But if you cant help but worry, maybe ring up your hv or book an appointment to go see her + tell her your concerned for his weight as you think hes gaining it slowly =/

All babies gain weight at their own pace.
There is no right or wrong weight.
Your HV would have said something to you if she felt there was a problem so try not to worry & just ignore other people's comments.
